Salt Bush - Baccharis halimifoliaAlso known as groundsel tree and sea myrtle, saltbush is a long lived perennial shrub that likes full sun. It can be used as a screen, hedge or buffer plant. Its profuse flowers resemble tiny, silvery white to cream paintbrushes which are very popular for fall migrating pollinators to make nectar stops, like the Monarchs. This is an evergreen in our area and typically blooms in fall. It grows between 7 15' tall and 5 7' wide. The white fruit is showy.
